Uncle Funkenstein
This was a rare double album from the Indiana jazz/funk maestro- It was just recently was re-discovered: Copies of the original lp are very rare (one turned up not long ago and sold for over $3000 on ebay!). This is certainly proof of its rarity. Originally recorded in 1983 on a limited budget with modest packaging and information. Little is known about the musicians apart from deep jazz/funk artists Russell Webster and Larry Ridley who are featured throughout. It apparently comes from Indiana and was probably released on a tiny home-based label. I've read that only 200 originals were known to have existed. The Jazzman Reissues label recently re-released the album in a quantity of 500, which quickly sold out and it is now highly collectible as well. Read more on Last.fm.
